Terms of service

The agreement between you and Abyssinia Labs for using Sokie. We've kept it short and in plain words.

Effective

Who provides Sokie

Sokie is made and run by Abyssinia Labs (“we”, “us”). These terms cover sokie.sh, the sokie CLI, Sokie's API, and the MCP servers Sokie hosts at sokie.cloud addresses. By signing in or using any of them, you agree to these terms and to how we handle data, described in the Privacy policy.

If you use Sokie for a company or another organisation, you're agreeing on its behalf, and you confirm you're allowed to.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub or Google; Sokie has no passwords of its own. Keep that account secure, because whoever controls it controls your Sokie account. You're responsible for what's done with your account, including through CLI sign-ins, deploy keys and tokens you create. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live to use Sokie.

Acceptable use

Use Sokie lawfully and fairly. In particular, don't:

  • break the law, or anyone else's rights, with Sokie or the servers you host on it;
  • build a server for an API you have no right to use, or use one in a way that breaks that API's own terms;
  • attack, probe or disrupt Sokie or other people's servers, or send malware through them;
  • try to get around usage limits, metering or spending caps;
  • use Sokie to send spam or to harass people, or put so much load on it that other customers suffer.

If a server breaks these rules or puts Sokie or other people at risk, we may pause it, and we'll tell you why.

Your specs and servers stay yours

You keep every right you have in what you bring to Sokie: specs, repositories, code, tool descriptions, secrets and data, and the servers made from them. You give us permission to store, process and run them only as far as we need to provide Sokie to you: reading the spec or repository, building and deploying the server, routing calls to it, and showing you its usage and logs.

Calls to your servers pass through Sokie on their way to your API and back. We count them and keep a short log of each one, but we don't store what was sent or returned. You're responsible for the APIs your servers reach, the credentials you give them, and the clients you let connect.

Sokie doesn't sell AI. When AI helps with your servers, it's your own agent doing the work, under your agreement with its provider.

Plans and billing

Hobby is free and needs no card. It includes a set number of tool calls a month and a few servers; past the free calls, tool calls stop until the month resets.

  • Pay as you go keeps calls going past Hobby's free calls, billed in blocks of 100,000 calls as they happen, up to a monthly spending cap you set. At the cap, tool calls stop until the month resets or you raise the cap.
  • Pro is charged per seat, monthly or yearly, and includes more calls, more servers and longer logs. Calls past what Pro includes are billed like pay as you go.

Current prices and limits are on the pricing section of sokie.sh and in Billing. Stripe processes every payment; we never see your full card number. Receipts and invoices come from Stripe.

You can cancel Pro at any time from Billing. It stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, then the workspace moves back to Hobby; we don't refund the rest of a period. Turning off pay as you go stops new calls being billed, but calls already made that month are still charged.

If we change a price, we'll tell the workspace's owner by email before the new price applies to them.

Availability

We work to keep Sokie and your servers running, but we can't promise they'll never be down or slow, and we don't offer an uptime guarantee unless we've agreed one with you in writing. We may change, add or remove features; when a change takes away something you rely on, we'll try to tell you first.

Ending

You can stop using Sokie whenever you like. You can delete your servers in the app at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment you owe isn't made, or if the law requires it. We'll tell you why unless we're not allowed to. If we ever shut Sokie down, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can move your servers.

When an account closes, its servers stop and its data is deleted as the Privacy policy describes. What you owe for usage before then is still due.

Liability

Sokie is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about Sokie is limited to what you paid us for Sokie in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

You're responsible for claims that arise from your content, your servers, or the APIs you connect them to.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top, and for changes that matter we'll email account owners before they take effect. If you keep using Sokie after that, you're agreeing to the new terms.
