Limits and plans

Every limit you can reach, from tool calls and servers to sign-in links, and what raises each one.

Most limits come from your workspace's plan; the rest are the same for everyone. Each table says what a limit is today and where to change it.

Plans

Past those callsTool calls stop until the month resets$2 per 100,000, up to your spending cap$2 per 100,000Agreed
Servers3320, plus 5 per extra seatAgreed
Logs kept7 days7 days30 days365 days

Change plans on the Billing page. Turn on pay as you go adds a card to Hobby, Upgrade to Pro starts Pro, billed monthly or yearly, and Manage billing in Stripe changes or cancels a paid plan. For Scale, choose Talk to us on the pricing page.

Months are calendar months in UTC. Counts start again at 00:00 UTC on the 1st, and a stop lifts then.

Moving to a plan that keeps logs longer keeps the calls still there for longer; calls already removed don't come back. Moving to one that keeps them for less hides older calls at once. Moving to a plan with fewer servers keeps every server answering, but the newest ones past the limit take no deploys until you're back within it. Troubleshooting has the details.

Tool calls and spending

Only calls that run a tool count toward the month. Connecting to a server, listing its tools, and calls Sokie turns away don't.

LimitTodayWhere to change it
Usage past your plan's callsBilled in whole blocks of 100,000 tool calls, $2 a blockFixed
Spending cap on pay as you go$20 a month unless you change it; it can't be turned offBilling, under Alerts and spending cap
Spending cap on ProNone unless you set oneBilling, under Alerts and spending cap
Smallest spending cap$2Fixed
Usage warningAt 80% of the month's limitBilling on pay as you go and Pro, from 1% to 100%; fixed on Hobby

A cap buys whole blocks past your free or included calls, rounded down. The default $20 on pay as you go is 10 blocks, so its tool calls stop at 1,050,000 for the month. Raising the cap lifts a stop straight away.

At the warning, Sokie tells you at the top of every page, in the CLI, and by email, once for each limit a month. On Pro with a cap, it warns at its included calls and again at the cap. Scale has no warning or stop of its own.

Calls to a server

LimitTodayWhere to change it
Requests to one server from one caller120 a minute, and 20,000 a dayFixed, on every plan
How long a tool waits for your API30 seconds, then the call fails with an error a client may retryFixed; on servers deployed since runtime 0.1.9
A test call's token (sokie call --production or --preview, and the Test tab)Lasts 5 minutes; 30 tokens a minute per personFixed
One call in a test case Sokie runs30 seconds; a run stops calling cases after 6 minutesFixed
Calls sokie logs printsThe latest 50--limit, up to 200
How far back logs go7, 30 or 365 daysYour plan

A caller is the person a token names, or on a public server, the network address a call comes from. Every request to /mcp counts toward the rate limit, connecting and listing tools included. Days are UTC days. Past either limit, the call is refused with a 429 that says when to try again, and other callers carry on.
